We are so thankful that the weather has finally cooled off! We have been outside several mornings lately and the boys are rediscovering all the fun (and mess!) there is to get into outside! On this morning, Eli and Micah realized quickly that the sand could stick to the dew on their sandbox. They were very busy making "wet mud" and enjoyed sculpting it. Micah looked up at one point and said,
"Momma, take a picture of me. And I want to see it." How could I resist that request?
The boys still like to help in the kitchen a lot. When I was making a casserole this week, they thought it would be fun to sprinkle the cheese on top for me. They really did a great job with very little cheese on the table or floor. (Micah's in the first picture and Eli in the second.)
One of their other favorite activities is still reading books. We read a lot and lately they have been telling me "No, Momma. I'll read it to you!" So, here are Eli and Micah "reading" The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear. It's so sweet to hear them reciting this book as it was one of my favorites in the preschool classroom too!
