Blackberries & Haircuts

When we went to pick strawberries several weeks ago, I noticed the blackberry bushes full of blooms! I figured it was going to be a good year for blackberries, so I was excited to see how full the bushes were when we arrived.

Both boys got right to work, but Eli (in blue) didn't like the thorns and sometimes asked Micah (in red) to help him pick a berry he found.
Micah inspected every berry to make sure it was all purple.

We could hear this noisy turkey (front corner of the fence) all over the farm. We had to get a closer look, of course!
I held Joshua for most of our picking and he was pretty happy. But at his normal nap time, he was getting a little fussy, so I put him back in his car seat and he started sucking his thumb until he was asleep.

When I took these pictures, I didn't realize they were going to become our "before" haircut pictures.

As Paul was tucking Eli in one night, Eli said, "I want fuzzy hair like yours, Daddy."
The next day, Eli got a haircut!

After watching Eli, Micah decided he wanted his hair cut, too!
