Getting Back...

into the routine. Summer was fun! (Okay, moving wasn't that fun, but the rest was!) We enjoyed having Paul home, but school started today so we have to get back into our routine at home.

The boys have been very busy the last week as you'll see in these pictures.

Micah and Eli love finger painting! On this day, I got out the shapes
from their shape sorter for them to "stamp" with. They had a
blast making shapes in the paint, then saying, "bye-bye, circle
(or triangle or square)" as they smeared the paint over the shape.

We had a chance to visit the library closest to us. The boys
did great and LOVED the shelf of over-sized books!

Even though we've had weeks of triple-digit heat indexes,
we just had to meet some friends at the park. We took
the boys' buckets and shovels. They sat in the sand and filled
the buckets then said, "dump it out" over and over!

Micah (with the blue cup & plate) and Eli have been practicing
drinking out of cups for months! Now, they have really
mastered drinking from a cup! We still have spills, of course,
but more water goes in their bellies than on the floor, so that
is progress! And look at those proud boys! You can almost
hear them saying, "I did it! I did it!"--one of their new
favorite sentences.
