The New Year

Here it is, January 18 and I haven't posted once in 2011. It's not that we haven't been busy--maybe that's the problem--we've been a little busy, but really I haven't posted because I've been using all of my "free" time to put together the blog book for 2009. No, that's not a typo. I did a blog book for 2008, but somehow never got around to 2009 and now I have 2010 to do, too! Before this task spirals beyond the point of catching up, I thought I'd better get moving! I really love putting together a blog book. I use a program where I get to arrange the text and pictures however I want, so it's a great creative outlet for me but it can be a little time-consuming as I tend to want it all "perfect."  But the best part really is looking back to see what the boys were doing in 2009--they were so little! Now, our house is full of the sounds of Eli and Micah talking, laughing, running, playing, and singing. I thought our house was busy and loud in 2009, but that was only the beginning!

We rang in the New Year with a Cheney family tradition--Apple Omelet!

We visited the softball field and "helped" Paul get it
ready for softball season. (Okay, the boys dug up
the infield with Raegan and I baked muffins for the
crew who actually worked. That's help, right?)

When life gives you lemons...snack on them
while you wait for your lunch! ;-)

Last Friday, we visited the Children's Museum again.
Every time we go, the boys discover something new.
This time, they spent 20 minutes exploring this table
and testing what objects would spin and where the pipe
needed to be to get the fastest spin possible.

We were just at the museum today ... love it!! :) When you get a chance, I'd love to know what program you use to make a blog book. That's been on my to-do list for a while now!
