Potty Training

So, we started a crazy adventure of potty-training Eli and Micah last week. The boys wore their last diapers last Monday and have been in underwear (day and night) ever since! As you would expect, the first few days were crazy with lots of accidents and very few "successful" trips to the potty. But, the accidents have decreased to almost none, except at night. The boys have loved getting their chocolate chips for successful trips to the potty. They have also loved the toys they've earned for various potty milestones (i.e. staying dry at nap time). It's still a work in progress, but I'm so proud of them!!

Before the potty training insanity began, we had some friends over to play. Thankfully, G'ma and G'pa Cheney bring balloons over every time they visit. We had enough for a "party"!

One day last week, I cut the top off a bell pepper and thought, "We could paint with that!" So, we did!
(The boys were given the task of choosing a color they could both agree on, so they picked brown.)
Here's Micah

 and Eli.

Micah earned this train whistle/bubble blower for staying dry all night. It's been a huge hit in our house!

Eli is working really hard to blow bubbles, too.
He quickly learned that swinging the wand into the wind worked much better!

Buddy has two beds and a couch to sleep on in our house, but he thinks the stuffed animals in the playroom is a much better bed.
