We had a great Easter weekend, just the four of us for four days!
I don't know about the rest of the country, but here in south Texas, we went from winter to summer with only a week or two of spring. It's hot and very dry! To get some relief, I filled the boys' water table and let them splash away!
Do you see the road that Eli and Micah are both touching in the picture below? They quickly noticed that if they look at it from one direction, it looks like an "E" and if they look at it another way, it looks like an "M"! How clever!
"Painting" with rollers like Daddy!
Painting is hard work, so they took a break and went back to splashing. Here, Micah is spraying Eli with the hose.
On Saturday, we dyed some Easter eggs. Here, Micah (right) and Eli (left) are watching the color tablets dissolve in the vinegar.
Eli coloring his first egg--green, of course!
Micah chose purple for his first egg.
I wrote an E on this one for Eli.
I wrote an M on this one for Micah.
Here are all of our colorful eggs!
(The one on the top left, I colored with crayons while it was still hot--an idea from Family Fun magazine. We may do this for all of our eggs next year. The boys liked that one the best!)
We don't have any pictures from church, but here are a few from Sunday afternoon. After nap time, the boys got to open their gifts. The shopping carts (from me and Paul) served as Easter baskets this year.
Thank you, Nana and Papa!
Eli and Micah found Chapstick (aka "lips") in their eggs. I hadn't considered the fact that cherry and strawberry Chapsticks just might stain my boys' mouths red! Oops!
Thank you, G'ma C!
Here is part of our backyard Easter egg hunt. Eli has the green bag and Micah has the blue one.
