The Last Two Weeks

So, that previous post was fun! Yes, it is real. We have Cheney Baby #3 expected to arrive sometime late November/early December. We have our first ultrasound on May 4, so we'll have a better idea of what we can expect after that. My Dr. will most likely recommend a c-section again, but we're not sure right now how long he'll let me go before he will want to schedule that. We will certainly post information as we know it. For now, we would love your prayers for a healthy baby and extra energy/good health for me during this first trimester. I think I forgot how exhausting it is to grow another human!

Even though I've been tired and taking extra naps, we have been very busy the last couple of weeks. Here are some pictures from our adventures!
We had a Saturday just the four of us all day (which almost never happens) so we went to the park across the street. Now, every time we drive by, the boys say, "I like that park. We need to go again....with Daddy."
Eli decided this was a better cage than climbing structure.
 Micah loved this squeaky wheel.

The boys are often very helpful. One of their favorite jobs is matching the silverware from the dishwasher to the drawer. They get that done in the time it takes me to unload all the breakables from the bottom shelf, then they help me unload the top.

We have been very busy running errands and going to playgroups, so the boys haven't had much of a chance to paint. I got out their bathtub finger paints last week, which were a huge hit!

Almost two weeks ago, we visited a strawberry patch with WMOM. The boys had a great time picking the strawberries, but enjoyed eating them when we got home even more!

Here, the boys are showing the girls, Madi and Morgan, their strawberries.

On Monday of last week, Eli and Micah got to go to the zoo with Madi and Morgan!
Here are all four of them watching a "silly monkey" swinging from tree to tree. They were all giggling and by far a highlight of the trip for the boys.
The new Africa exhibit has drums, which all four kids loved!
The other highlight of the trip for Eli and Micah was seeing the Chimpanzees so close. They thought it was funny that the one in front came over to wake up the other one.  (Click on the picture once or twice to see the smile on the chimp's face-hilarious!)
We survived the day, but it was definitely nap time for the four two-year olds. Here was our last attempt at a group picture!

The boys got a special treat at the library last week. It was our favorite librarian's birthday, so she brought cupcakes! She also read a book about a mouse finding, sharing, and eating a cupcake that Eli loved so much he requested to bring it home. We've read it every day since (sometimes several times a day!)
(Did you notice the boys are wearing their green/orange shorts in the park, strawberry patch, zoo, and library pictures? These are their favorite outfits!)

Lately, the boys' imaginations have run wild! They are playing pretend every day. On this day, they built a "fire" in the guest room with all of their toys from the playroom. This started two days before when Micah came to me and said, "I put those books on the fire." Me:"You put the books on the fire?" Micah: "Yeah, because they were nasty books." I'm not sure where he learned about book burning, but building fires has been a huge obsession lately.

Do you remember these onesies?
(This picture was taken Oct. 2008--boys were 1 month old)
Well, we got out our newborn clothes for a friend and Eli immediately tried on the froggy onesie. He thought it was hilarious! Frankly, I did, too!
