Eli and Micah got play-doh and play-doh tools for Christmas from their cousins. We got them out last week and the boys made lots of "worms."
Micah enjoyed the scissors,
while Eli made lots of spaghetti and worms.
Eli and Micah love corn on the cob, so we have it often in our house. When I was shucking it this week, they asked to help. Why not? It was good, messy help!
Last week, I flipped through my February Family Fun magazines for Valentine treat ideas for Eli and Micah to take to school. I came across a quick and easy tortilla "cookie" recipe and thought the boys would love to try it--any craft they can eat is usually a big hit at our house! Below, Eli (in blue) and Micah (in green) are working hard to cut out shapes.
Pouring on the sprinkles was the best part--besides eating them after they baked!
In my constant attempts to get my boys to try new foods, I borrowed a kids' cookbook from the library. While Micah was looking at it, he spotted a recipe for waffles with berries and whipped cream. He wanted me to make them "just like this" (pointing to the picture in the cookbook). Below is a picture of my vegan version of the recipe he wanted. He loved the waffles and has asked for them again already!
Obviously, Joshua can't come play or cook at the table with us, but he enjoys his activity mat!
