Spring Break 2012

Spring Break was a little different for us this year. Kristy's mom and dad (Nana and Papa) came down for the week--that's not unusual. They come down every year for spring break. The difference was we didn't have a big home improvement project to work on and Paul left for the week on a science/mission trip to Costa Rica. We missed him terribly, but we were glad for the distractions (and help!) Nana and Papa provided!

Nana and Papa brought Easter gifts early, including this Whack-a-Mole game.

The boys' cousin had been borrowing our Exersaucer. Nana and Papa brought it back this trip for Joshua. I didn't get any pictures, but Eli and Micah were excited to help Papa put it together.

Eli and Micah "helped" Papa with the little projects we asked him to work on. The most fascinating to them was when Papa took apart our deadbolt.

After several rainy days stuck indoors, Nana and Papa took the big boys for a morning of jumping!

Eli was so proud of himself for taking this picture. I had to include it here.

When the weather warmed up and clouds cleared out, we went outside for some shaving cream fun.
Immediately, the picnic table was not a big enough canvas. They "washed" the castle instead.

Then they discovered they could make "snow"!

Eli and Micah figured out Nana's phone and enjoyed playing with it almost every day.

All the boys wrestled with Papa--Joshua and Micah were taking their turn here.

We ended the week with a trip to the boys' favorite pizza place (although, they don't actually eat the pizza there--go figure!). Micah played basketball over and over.

Both boys loved this game--trying to get the ball past the monsters and hit the target. They were pretty good at it most of the time.

It takes a lot of concentration to play skee-ball.

Eli and I played many rounds of air hockey.

We had a really great week and were sad to see Nana and Papa head home. We're already looking forward to seeing them again this summer! Thanks, again, Mom and Dad for coming down and helping out. I had no idea I would be sick for half of your visit, but I'm so glad you were here to take care of me and the boys. We love you!
