Joshua was not interested in wearing his costume, so this is the only good picture I got of him as a puppy.
Eli (green dragon) and Micah (monster) were so excited to see what trunk or treat was all about!
Oh my, how these boys love CFA!
We spent a little time at the old train depot
(boys got hot and took their costume tops off)
and saw the model trains.
When we got home, we discovered we had a package from Nana and Papa that contained SNOW! Eli and Micah have been talking for weeks about how they are going to see snow when we go to Kansas for Christmas and they are going to play in the snow with their cousins and throw snowballs at Papa, etc., etc. Needless to say they are pretty excited about snow! Here are a few pictures of the "snow" Nana and Papa sent. It will be fun to make a big tub and take LOTS of pictures!

I saw an idea somewhere--probably pinterest--where a mom put alphabet stickers on lids to use for spelling and practicing word families. Since we're not quite there yet, I made the letters (a capitals set and a lowercase set) so we could play memory with them! The boys had such fun playing with the letters that they asked for another game. I asked them if they could line up all of the letters in the right order. Here's how they did:
(E in blue, M in red)
When they were finished, they gave each other high fives and they were jumping around. It was really cute to see how proud they were of themselves! I love how this activity turned into a great letter recognition review--they touched each letter and said it's name as they were trying to figure out the next letter.
Poor Joshua. (Okay, he doesn't look sad in this picture but you have to know the rest of the story.) Eli and Micah were playing in the playroom with the doors closed when Joshua crawled over and stood at the door looking in. He actually thought it was funny to see them in there!
See? There's Micah playing.
And here are the big boys teasing their little brother about not coming in to the playroom. See? Poor Joshua...although he still thought their teasing was funny, which annoyed the big boys.
At the end of October, Eli and Micah got to put their costumes on again for the "Let's Pretend" Parade at school. Here are the boys growling at me....scary, right? ;-)
We walked most of the way with our good friend, Carrington, (in pink) again this year.
Eli liked giving high-fives to all the big kids.
Then they each got to choose a pumpkin from the "pumpkin patch" the school had set up in the playground. Stay tuned for pictures of us cutting open the pumpkins.
