Baking, Blackberries & RAIN!

I guess it's been too long since I created a new blog post--I honestly can't remember in what order we did the things we did in this post! So, in no particular order, here's what we were up to before vacation.

A sweet friend of mine made these adorable aprons for the boys! They were excited to wear them and make Daddy some cupcakes for his birthday.

Somehow the school year slipped by us and we didn't see our very good friends, Madi and Morgan, for months! So, we had to get all of the kids together this summer. We decided to take them blackberry picking. Unfortunately, we scheduled it for the last week of this farm's season. We didn't take too many home and they weren't as huge as last year. But, the kids had a great time anyway!

Here's all four trying to decide which row to start in.

This blackberry farm also sells eggs, so there are lots of chickens--and one very loud rooster!

One of the employees brought out a chicken for the kids to pet.

We didn't find many big berries, but Eli found this one that filled his mouth!

We got a much-needed break from the drought we've been experiencing with two days of rain! I guess it had been too long since it rained last--Eli & Micah forgot what it was! They had to go out and explore. They played out there for 45 minutes!

The weekend before we left on vacation, we took the boys to a local airport with our multiples group to see small planes like the one pictured below take off and land. The pilots were so nice to wave to all of the kids watching.
