Happy 2nd Birthday, Boys!

At 2 years old, Eli:

  • knows his name is Elijah Cheney.
  • recognizes the letters E & M.
  • knows Dad's name is Paul, but thinks Mom's name is "Momma."
  • enjoys singing, as you can see in this video:

At 2 years old, Micah:
  • likes many colors, especially orange and red.
  • likes many different foods, especially corn and steamed broccoli.
  • asks to read a variety of books.
  • enjoys watching Dad play Wii and imitating the sound effects.
  • loves running through the house playing chase with Mom or Eli.
  • knows his name is Micah "Jophus" (i.e. Joseph) Cheney.
  • recognizes the letters M, E, and "double-X" (i.e. X).
  • knows Dad's name is Paul and Mom's name is Kristy.
  • enjoys helping around the house-- doing laundry, sweeping, and watering plants.

Eli and Micah both:
  • love to read the Bible and know it's about Jesus.
  • enjoy coloring, painting, and smashing play-dough.
  • are curious about things around them, constantly asking "aye is?" (i.e. "what's this?)
  • laugh a lot!
  • love splashing in water and are fascinated with fountains.
  • are very proud of their new accomplishments and often say, "I did it!"
  • like to have choices when picking clothes for the day.
  • say "no" to almost every question they are asked, even if they don't really mean it.
  • are a little shy in new situations or with new people.
  • love to floss and brush their teeth.
  • help Mom make smoothies every afternoon--and snack on the spinach.

And they both LOVE to swing!

I can't believe we will be celebrating the "2" milestone in a few weeks too! I can remember two years ago when we were both expecting - holy cow time goes fast!
