At 37 weeks pregnant with #3, we have the nursery mostly ready, Buddy completely healed, the house decorated for Christmas, a bag packed for the hospital, plans for Eli and Micah to play with Grandma and Grandpa when Paul and I are at the hospital, and the baby's car seat is going in the car today!
I'm still feeling well (except for the cold that has knocked me out this weekend) and often think back to my pregnancy with the twins. Any discomfort I might feel now is nothing compared to the pain I was in my last weeks with Eli and Micah (click here for the comparison belly picture). I'm still having Braxton-Hicks contractions 2-4 times every hour that I'm on my feet. At this point, my doctor isn't too concerned about that, especially since they go away if I lay down. That many contractions makes Mom, Dad and the grandparents a little nervous, though!
My OB offered us the chance to have another ultrasound to see how our little guy is growing. We're excited to see him again this Wednesday! I'll try to post those pictures and a quick update that afternoon.
The boys seem more excited (or maybe curious) about the new baby. Eli often tells me he's going to hug and tickle the baby. Yesterday, Micah kept asking to "put more baby stuff out." They both love the baby swing and playing in the nursery. This baby has no idea how much he is already loved by his big brothers. I hope the feeling lasts once #3 actually comes home!
