Happy Halloween!

If you remember, last year I had no pictures of my boys in their adorable puppy costumes. I couldn't get them to wear them. This year, Eli chose to be "Rock on Larry Boy" and Micah chose Bob the Tomato. From the moment the costumes arrived in the mail, I couldn't get Eli and Micah out of their costumes! They still pretend to be Larry and Bob (as well as a variety of other VeggieTales characters) every day.

The first chance the boys had to show off their costumes this year was at their school's "Let's Pretend" parade. All of the early childhood students dressed up and paraded through the halls of the elementary school for the "big kids."

Here are Eli and Micah in their classroom before the parade with their favorite friend from school.

Bob and Larry were a big hit with the elementary students. Micah got lots of high-fives!

Eli held my hand through the whole parade and was upset that the kids were calling him Larry. He said, "I'm not Larry. I'm 'Rock On, Larry Boy'!"

After the parade, the kids got to visit the pumpkin patch on the playground. Eli and Micah chose their own pumpkins. Eli also requested that I cut his up and make a pie!

After all of the fun at school, I took the boys home early and we "trick or treated" with our favorite librarian!  She knows we don't do candy at our house, so she got these fun snacks for the boys. They LOVED them!

We did cut up the pumpkins so I could make a pie and the boys helped scoop out the seeds for roasting. Nana told the boys that the seeds taste a little like popcorn. Well, Eli thought he would test that statement:

They really had a great time with the pumpkins!

On Halloween night, Micah and Eli were excited to put their costumes on and hand out stickers to the neighborhood kids. They had their glow sticks and were ready to go!
They encountered only one scary mask this year and did a great job giving everyone a sticker. They tasted the pumpkin pie we made--Eli didn't like it, but Micah had two pieces--and went to bed very easily!
