Decorating for Christmas

In my last post, I mentioned that our house was decorated for Christmas. The boys were so excited to help Paul get all of our decorations out of the attic. They were jumping up and down, running all over the house and squealing with excitement. After we'd finish putting something up, they'd say, "Let's put up more."
Here are Eli and Micah inspecting Paul's tree lighting job.

This year, I pulled out several non-breakable ornaments the boys could hang on the tree themselves. They really did a nice job decorating the bottom of our tree!

And I got the stockings hung up--even one for #3!

I've been trying to do something new and somewhat crafty or artistic with Eli and Micah every week. On Pinterest a few weeks ago, I found a recipe for easy bathtub paint. I knew the boys would love it.  They actually took their bath before dinner this night because they were too excited to wait!
Eli enjoyed painting his feet like I have done to him. Of course he painted the walls as well.

Micah painted every surface available in the bath and his tummy, too!

One new activity that didn't take any planning on my part, but has kept the boys busy for hours is tearing and recycling our magazines. In most homes, all of the toy catalogs get looked at and quickly tossed into the recycling bin. In our home, Eli (left) and Micah (right) feel it's important to tear every page out of the ads before putting the pieces in the recycling bin.
And the tearing is not the best part, no, stopping in the bin of paper is!
